“For Love or Loyalty” by Jennifer Hudson Taylor

This is not a book I would recommend if you are looking for light entertainment.  However, it does deal with the realities of evil in the (colonial) world and how that evil can affect even those with great faith.  It was refreshing to read a novel set in this time period.  Often historical novels will be set in the Victoria-era or the Civil-War era.  This book gives readers a good look at the colonial era and the hardships that were part of daily life for them.  From Scotland to the Carolinas, from poverty to plenty, and from indenturehood to freedom, God’s Plan will be revealed despite the difficulties that lie along the way.

Thank you to NetGalley (https://www.netgalley.com)  and Abingdon Press (Fiction) for providing me with this book to read and review.
