“High Plains Heart” by Janet Spaeth

Angels, day cares, and resorts are not normally found under the same cover, but this is what I found in this 3 in 1 novel. The first story brings a little tension to new-found love. In the second, love blossoms amid adversity. And in the third love brings delight and Sunshine. A picky cat, an active four-year-old, and a matter-a-fact old man, are just a few of the endearing characters you will meet along the way.

As the characters talk to each other about what God is teaching them, I found that the dialogues sound a little more like a good sermon than a flowing conversation between people. Other than that, the writing style was interesting and contained good descriptions of characters, locations and situations, as well as a good dose of humour.

This is a nice book for a quiet afternoon read.
