‘Truth be Told’ by Carole Cox

As with many western romances, this one begins with someone stepping off a train and drawing a deep breath.  Then continues with a female reporter who continually sticks her nose in where it doesn’t belong and nearly pays the consequences due to villainous land men (aka land-grabbers).  And if that isn’t villainous enough for your tastes, a creepy stepfather is thrown in (and then thrown out of) the storyline.  Enter the hero.  A few interrupted kisses.  Save the girl.  Kiss the girl.  The End.

And voila, a hot-off-the-press western romance, delivered to your door.

This book encouraged and inspired me to be truthful (even in my review), and is aptly named.  If you haven’t read a plethora of western romances before, this book is for you.

Thank you to NetGalley (https://www.netgalley.com/) and Bethany House for providing me with this book to read and honestly review. And keep writing Carol Cox—the best is yet to be!
